Farabi Cinema Foundation's message following the martyrdom of two members of "Afghan Film" and the condemnation of the terrorist crime

Esteemed Director of Afghan Film,

Greetings,

The ache for the loss of innocent schoolgirls and defenseless citizens and students in Afghanistan is still very much alive in our hearts and now another horrific news has saddened our entire being.

The martyrdom of two young female artists active in the field of cinema who dreamed and strived to create a world free of violence and full of hope and enlightenment, breaks the heart of every human being.

What is the best word or statement to express this tragedy? One can only seek refuge in the safe embrace of God and pray for their loved ones, colleagues in Afghan Film, the friends of these oppressed girls and other victims of these two terrorist incidents. It is just enough to look into the bright eyes of these loved ones to see the depth of the tragedy. However, the hope and joy for a better life is immortal in the young generation of Afghanistan.

Crime and murder are signs of the despair of criminals who cannot tolerate light, hope and smile of a society, and thus the responsibility of the cinematic art community for these crimes is much more than before.

Undoubtedly, these two angels are now guests of the blessings of God. They may rest in peace.
